Episode 17: Brian Kight
Brian Kight is a competitor. He first tasted his love for competition and his desire for testing his own limits as the smallest 8 year old nose guard on the football field. His parents divorced when he was an infant, so in shuttling between two different households with different rules and expectations, Brian (BK) quickly learned the foundational skill for self-discipline: awareness. BK now consults some of the most notable executive and athletic teams in the country on building awareness and implementing discipline to earn what they want. We talk with BK about competition, habits, and getting better at hard things instead of hard things getting easier. When we face big challenges or audacious goals, it's proven true that discipline is the short cut.
